Origen, destinos y utilización de las remesas en la adquisición de vivienda nueva y/o usada

Abstract

La importancia de las remesas radica en el dinamismo que estas le dan a la economía al ser un factor de desarrollo para los diferentes sectores y en especial como objeto de estudio para este trabajo en el de la construcción y la adquisición de vivienda. El hecho de migrar a otro país se presenta como una alternativa con el fin de conseguir los recursos necesarios para financiar la compra de vivienda nueva o usada y en ello se sustenta la elaboración y análisis de este estudio que permite acercarse a cifras que expresan el porcentaje real que se destina para tal efecto. Resulta entonces relevante innovar en el desarrollo de políticas y mecanismos que canalicen el uso de estos recursos para generar una conciencia del ahorro dirigido a la inversión. Con los resultados de esta investigación se pretende explicar y evidenciar el destino que tienen las remesas. En el capitulo 1 se tratan los temas relacionados entorno al contexto de los remesadores y beneficiarios de estos flujos, destacándose la información estadística, que refleja el numero de emigrantes Colombianos que están enviando remesas para el consumo, educación, salud e inversión. En el capitulo 2 se resalta el impacto económico de las remesas en el país y la forma como estas ingresan en la economía; los costos que implican estas transferencias que son uno de los factores limitantes en la generación de recursos destinados a la inversión en vivienda. También se trata sobre las ventajas que ofrecen los intermediarios del mercado cambiario y como la banca nacional viene realizando esfuerzos encaminados a participar competitivamente. 28 Con el empeño del gobierno por dinamizar el sector de la construcción a través de las remesas se adelantan una serie de proyectos que con éxito han logrado llamar la atención de los migrantes Colombianos para invertir en vivienda, fomentando de esta forma la edificación en el país y en la región AMCO, como se menciona en el capitulo 3. With the results of this research it is intended explain and demonstrate the destination of remittances. Chapter 1 deals with issues related to the context of remitters and beneficiaries of these flows, highlighting the information statistics, which reflects the number of Colombian emigrants who are sending remittances for consumption, education, health and investment. Chapter 2 highlights the economic impact of remittances in the country and the how they enter the economy; the costs involved in these transfers that are one of the limiting factors in the generation of resources for investment in housing. It is also about the advantages offered by market intermediaries exchange rate and how the national bank has been making efforts aimed at participate competitively. 28 With the government's efforts to boost the construction sector through of remittances, a series of projects are carried out that have successfully achieved draw the attention of Colombian migrants to invest in housing, promoting in this way the construction in the country and in the AMCO region, as It is mentioned in Chapter 3.
