This article introduces and phenomenological description of the damage, free energy and constitutive equation is presented softening laws. Softening laws presented in order are: linear breakdown, linear degradation with interruptions, exponential decay and finally a parabolic law of damage. The models presented above are used for brittle materials such as mortar, concrete, masonry, walls and others.en-US
