| dc.description | Methodology (from the Greek mara “beyond”, odos “way”, and logo “study”), it refers to the group of procedures based on logic principles, used to reach a range of goals that rule a scientific research. Method and methodology are two different concepts. Method is the procedure used to reach the goals, in this case, the ones defined in a research project, and the methodology is thestudy of the method, which is directly related to the epistemological posture, which is assumed and guarantees a scientific approach. During the middle of the last century, social research was labeled under a quantitative approach, positivist; in which experimentation, objectivity, validity and reliability prevailed as necessary requirements. Later on, a new approach was assumedtowards qualitative perspectives, making use of flexible designs, but rigorous, which have allowed the evolution of knowledge through this new posture, without ruling out its scientific nuance. | en-US |
| dc.description | Metodología (del griego mara “más allá”, odos “camino”, y logo “estudio”, hace referencia al conjunto de procedimientos basados en principios lógicos, empleados para alcanzar una gama de objetivos que rigen una investigación científica. Método y metodología son dos conceptos diferentes. El método es el procedimiento para lograr los objetivos, en este caso los definidos en unproyecto de investigación, y la metodología es el estudio del método, la cual está directamente relacionada con la postura epistemológica que se asume, y que garantiza una cientificidad. Hasta mediados del pasado siglo, la investigación social estaba enmarcada bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, positivista; donde predominaba la experimentación, objetividad, validez y confiabilidad como requisitos indispensables. Posteriormente, se asume un nuevo enfoque hacia perspectivas cualitativas, haciendo uso de diseños flexibles, pero rigurosos, que han permitido la evolución del conocimiento a través de esta nueva postura, sin dejar a un lado su connotación científica. | es-ES |
