dc.descriptionThe radiofrequency identification competes with the barcode in the management of the supply chain. To analyze the RFID benefits against its nearest competitor in logistics management is proposed in the development of this article, to achieve the goal we planned and executed a pilot according to the actual logistics of textile dealer. During the pilot technical analysis of the implementation of RFID technology is performed and a comparative study of times between barcode and RFID. Finally, it can be demonstrated that the benefits exceed the expectations of the company and from technical point of view; the implementation is feasible in this scenario.en-US
dc.descriptionLa identificación por radiofrecuencia compite con la identificación utilizando códigos de barras en la gestión de la cadena de suministro. Analizar los beneficios de RFID frente a su inmediato competidor en la gestión logística es la tarea propuesta en el desarrollo de este artículo; para lograr el objetivo, se planeó y ejecutó una prueba piloto de acuerdo a la logística actual de una empresa colombiana distribuidora de textiles. Durante la prueba piloto se realiza el análisis técnico de la implementación de la tecnología RFID y se efectúa un estudio comparativo de los beneficios entre código de barras y RFID. Finalmente, se demuestra que los beneficios económicos de RFID superan las expectativas de la empresa y se sustenta la viabilidad técnica de la implementación en dicho escenario.es-ES
