| dc.description | This paper presents the results that have been obtained in an investigation in the first person medical students of the Medicine Program at the Universidad Libre Barranquilla Campus. The research was aimed to assess the level of knowledge and attitudes about STIs. The study is based on analysis of a mixed questionnaire with structured questions and narrative, consisting of a sample of 365 students of the ten semesters. The results show that most of the population is female and single marital status. Participants have a high degree of knowledge of STIs, directly proportional to the increase in the level semester, which indirectly indicates that the theoretical knowledge acqui- red in the different subjects of the curriculum medicine program, but in the attitude disease there is a cognitive dissonance between the information received and the attitudes. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este trabajo presenta los resultados que se han obtenido en una investigación en estudiantes del Programa de Medicina de la Universidad Libre Seccional Barranquilla. La investigación ha tenido como objeto evaluar el grado de conocimiento y actitudes sobre las ITS. El estudio se basa en el análisis de un cuestionario mixto, con pregun- tas estructuradas y narrativas, constituido por un grupo de 365 estudiantes de los diez semestres. Los resultados muestran que la mayoría de la población es de género femenino y de estado civil soltero. Los participantes pre- sentan un alto grado de conocimiento de las ITS, directamente proporcional al aumento en el nivel semestral, lo que sugiere que se adquieren los conocimientos teóricos en las diferentes asignaturas del plan de estudios, sin embargo en la actitud ante la enfermedad existe una disonancia cognoscitiva entre la información recibida y las actitudes adoptadas. | es-ES |
