| dc.description | The congenital anomalies are structural or anatomical abnormalities that are present at birth, can be macroscopic or microscopic, be present on the surface or inside the body. Affecting one in 33 infants and cause disabilities 3.2 million a year. Retrospective study in which the cases reported through week 35, in the epidemiological surveillance system were studied. The aim was to characterize the congenital malformations in the Department of the Atlantic. The instrument used was the registration form and document review. As a result it was found 62% were male and 38% female; the most prevalent congenital malformation was congenital heart disease in 13.3% followed by central nervous system malformations with 11.1%. | en-US |
| dc.description | Las anomalías congénitas son anormalidades estructurales o anatómicas que están presentes al nacimiento y pueden ser macroscópicas o microscópicas, estar presentes en la superficie o el interior del cuerpo. Afectan a uno de cada 33 lactantes y causan 3,2 millones de discapacidades al año. Estudio descriptivo retrospectivo en el que se investigaron los casos reportados hasta la semana 35, en el sistema de Vigilancia Epidemiológica. El objetivo fue caracterizar las malformaciones congénitas en el Departamento del Atlántico. Como instrumento se utilizó la ficha de registro y revisión documental. Según los resultados, el 62% correspondió al sexo masculino y el 38% al femenino; la malformación congénita mas prevalente fue la cardiopatía con un 13,3%, seguida de las malformaciones del sistema nervioso central con 11,1%. | es-ES |
