Articulación del cluster salud en el área metropolitana

Abstract

El presente artículo analiza la dinámica del turismo de salud en el área metropolitana mediante un método teórico-descriptivo a partir de la recopilación de información primaria y secundaria sobre el sector actual del clúster de salud; teniendo en cuenta los servicios médicos turísticos de la región, la facilidad de acceso y su mayor contribuyente. Se encontró que el mayor impulso del sector son los actores privados a partir de la explotación y el buen manejo de las ventajas competitivas en materia de precios, ubicación fronteriza, acceso al país y el apoyo de las agencias nacionales para la promoción del turismo de salud y bienestar. Sin embargo, factores como el problema sociopolítico que enfrenta el país fronterizo, la falta de compromiso y dedicación de algunas entidades clínicas, la escasez de flujo de información entre paciente-medico en el país de origen y país destino fomenta una serie de conflictos y sobrecostos para el paciente internacional que suma una baja cooperación entre los implicados, creando una brecha en el mercado. The following article analyzes the dynamic of tourism in the metropolitan area thru a descriptive method from the primary and secondary information recollection about the current clusters of health; taking in consideration the turistic medical services of the region, the easy access and its biggest contributor. It was found that the biggest factor of the sector were the private actors from the exploitation and great use of the competitive advantages in prices, border locations, access to the country, and the support of the national agencies for the promotion of the tourism of health and well being. Nevertheless, factors like the social-politic issues that the frontier country is facing, the lack of compromise and dedication from some clinical entities, the poor flow of information between the patient/doctor of the country of origin and the country of destination creates a series of conflicts and cost overruns for the international patient that adds to a very poor cooperation between the implied parties, creating a setback in the market.
