dc.descriptionThis article is the result of an analysis of the impact of international business in the department of Norte de Santander in Colombia in the period 2012-2016 as a result of the political junctures between Colombia and Venezuela. The study of the events that take place in that border region and its relationship with the regional economy is becoming increasingly important due to the social impact generated in the department. The work was quantitative, descriptive and analytical, with a documentary design. The dynamics of the exports carried out by the different productive sectors and the participation in foreign trade of the companies located in the department of Norte de Santander were studied. It was concluded that the closing of the border between the two countries in 2012, together with the termination of the traditional bilateral integration, negatively influenced the flow of the department’s exports and negatively affected the economic results of the exporting companies. Currently, the gap left by the loss of this commercial relationship could not be flled.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo es el resultado del trabajo de análisis del impacto de los negocios internacionales en el departamento de Norte de Santander en Colombia en el periodo 2012-2016 a raíz de las coyunturas políticas entre Colombia y Venezuela. El estudio de los acontecimientos que se desarrollan en esa región fronteriza y su relación con la economía regional se hace cada vez más importante debido al impacto social que se genera en el departamento. El trabajo fue cuantitativo, descriptivo y analítico, con un diseño documental. Se estudió la dinámica de las exportaciones realizadas por los diferentes sectores productivos y la participación en el comercio exterior de las empresas ubicadas en el departamento de Norte de Santander. Se concluyó que el cierre de la frontera entre los dos países en el año 2012, junto a la terminación de la tradicional integración bilateral, influyó negativamente en el flujo de las exportaciones del Departamento y afectó negativamente los resultados económicos de las empresas exportadoras. En la actualidad, el vacío dejado por la pérdida de esta relación comercial no ha podido ser llenado.es-ES
