dc.description.abstractEn el proceso de biofiltración la biodegradación de una corriente de aire contaminada con fenol se realizó con una concentración sobresaturada de 100 ppm de entrada y un tiempo de retención (tr) de 92.4 segundos, con una operación continua de 30 días en los cuales se evaluaron parámetros como humedad del material de relleno, temperatura, pH, con el fin de establecer la eficiencia de remoción de en el biofiltro. El biofiltro se compone de 4 etapas en las cuales se observó una remoción promedio de 97%, presentando una máxima remoción en la etapa 4 con un 100% de remoción y una minima de 92% en la etapa 2. A los 20 días de puesta en marcha se encontró que el porcentaje de humedad estaba en un 15% y había una caída de presión promedio de 1.2 mmHg, esto implica que para las variables estudiadas que determinan el desarrollo óptimo del biofiltro no se cumplieron los limitos mínimos establecidos en estudios previos.spa
