| dc.description.abstract | Esta investigación tuvo lugar en una escuela pública en Bogotá, con 40 estudiantes de noveno grado. El estudio propone una estrategia basada en principios y prácticas de alfabetización visual como una forma de promover la comprensión auditiva. La investigación se llevó a cabo en un proceso de cuatro etapas: observación, planificación, actuación y reflexión. El paradigma de investigación seleccionado es el cualitativo, con un método de investigación de acción. En general, los resultados de esta investigación demostraron que la aplicación de la estrategia mencionada utilizando una unidad didáctica basada en los principios y prácticas de alfabetización visual ayudó a los estudiantes a mejorar su habilidad para escuchar. Las pruebas, los artefactos de los estudiantes y las notas de campo de los maestros revelaron mejoras significativas de los participantes en la comprensión auditiva. Con respecto al idioma, los estudiantes recibieron aportes y tuvieron la oportunidad de expresarse a través del uso de la codificación y decodificación de imágenes correctamente para comunicar ideas. | spa |
| dc.description.abstract | This research took place in a public school in Bogota, with 40 ninth graders. The study proposes a strategy based on principles and practices of visual literacy as a way to promote listening comprehension. The research was carried out in a four-stage process: observing, planning, acting and reflecting. The research paradigm selected is the qualitative one, with an action research method. In general, the findings of this research demonstrated that the application of the mentioned strategy using a didactic unit based on the principles and practices of visual literacy helped students to enhance their listening skill. Tests, students´ artifacts and teacher`s field notes revealed significant participants` improvements in listening comprehension. Concerning the language, students received input and had the opportunity to express themselves through the use of coding and decoding images correctly in order to communicate ideas. | Eng |
