dc.description.abstractLa obesidad y la enfermedad renal crónica son enfermedades emergentes en el mundo convirtiéndose en una gran problemática de salud pública. La obesidad siendo un factor de riesgo para enfermedad renal crónica, así como para su progresión, en Colombia existen pocos estudios que lo documenten. Objetivo: el objetivo del presente estudio es Evaluar la asociación de obesidad con la enfermedad renal crónica y el impacto directo de la reducción del peso con la mejoría de la tasa de filtración glomerular. Materiales y métodos: se realizo un estudio Observacional, analítico, De cohorte retrospectivo. Se realizó un cálculo de tamaño de muestra con base al estudio CARDIA teniendo en cuenta un poder del 80% nivel de confianza del 95% para 2 colas, a través del aplicativo Epi Info 7.2.1 con el método de Fleiss W/CC. Aleatorizacion sitematica a traves del aplicativo Microsoft Excel versión 14.0.0 Los analisis estadisticos se realizaron con SPSS version 22. Conclusion: No se encontró evidencia estadisticamente significativa de la asociacion de obesidad con la porgresion o mejoria de la enfermedad renal cronica (IC 2,26). Si es posible relacionar como factor de riesgo la obesidad con la enfermedad rena cronoica (OR: 1,36).spa
dc.description.abstractObesity and chronic kidney disease are emerging diseases in the world becoming a major public health problem. Obesity being a risk factor for chronic kidney disease, as well as for its progression, in Colombia there are few studies documenting it. Objective: the objective of the present study is to evaluate the association of obesity with chronic kidney disease and the direct impact of weight reduction with the improvement of the glomerular filtration rate. Materials and methods: an observational, analytical, retrospective cohort study was conducted. A sample size calculation was made. based on the CARDIA study taking into account a power of 80% confidence level of 95% for 2 tails, through the application Epi Info 7.2.1 with the Fleiss W / CC method. Statistical randomization through the application Microsoft Excel version 14.0.0 Statistical analyzes were conducted with SPSS version 22. Conclusion: No statistically significant evidence of the association of obesity with the progression or improvement of chronic kidney disease was found (CI 2.26). ).
