dc.description.abstractObjetivo: Caracterizar los pacientes y los resultados quirúrgicos y de morbimortalidad de la reparación endovascular de aneurismas de aorta abdominal, en la Clínica General del Norte, durante el periodo 2015 – 2016. Materiales y Métodos: Estudio descriptivo retrospectivo, muestra por conveniencia en 40 pacientes en que se realizó reparación endovascular de aneurisma de la aorta abdominal. La tabulación de la información se realizó en programa Epi-Info 7.0; se valoraron parámetros estadísticos descriptivos. Resultados: La distribución del sexo, mostró mayor proporción de pacientes en el sexo masculino con el 67,5%, edad media de 70.8 ± 9.2 años; el tamaño medio de los aneurismas fue de 6.2 ± 0.8 cms; la media del tiempo quirúrgico fue de 130.0 ± 28.7 minutos. Conclusiones: El tratamiento endovascular de AAA es un procedimiento eficaz y seguro en el ámbito local; la experiencia se asemeja a la descrita en la literatura; demostrándose que los resultados en cuanto a morbimortalidad y estancia hospitalaria son considerablemente superiores a los de la cirugía abierta.spa
dc.description.abstractObjective: To characterize patients and surgical and morbimortality outcomes of endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms, in the Clínica General del Norte, during the period 2015-2016. Materials and methods: Descriptive retrospective study, sample for convenience in 40 patients in whom endovascular repair of aneurysm of the abdominal aorta was performed. The information was tabulated in Epi-Info 7.0 program, descriptive statistical parameters were evaluated. Results: The sex distribution showed a higher proportion of patients in the male sex with 67.5%, mean age of 70.8 ± 9.2 years; the mean size of the aneurysms was 6.2 ± 0.8 cm, the mean surgical time was 130.0 ± 28.7 minutes. Conclusions: Endovascular treatment of AAA is an effective and safe procedure at the local level; the experience is similar to that described in the literature; demonstrating that the results regarding morbimortality and hospital stay are considerably higher than those of open surgery.Eng
