dc.description.abstract	Patron y Cía. S.A.S es una empresa que suple necesidades en el sector de la actividad industrial distribuyendo elementos de protección personal y seguridad industrial. Con la realización de un diagnóstico general de la compañía, se encontró una visión global de la situación actual, de igual manera se determinó a través de la clasificación ABC por líneas de productos (17 líneas), la referencia que más participa en los ingresos de cada una de ellas para su posterior estudio a través de datos históricos del año 2012 como: la demanda, lead time y costos. Posteriormente con la información recolectada se aplicó el modelo de revisión periódica, el cual proporciona a la compañía una política de pedido, estableciendo cada cuanto se debe revisar el inventario, cuanta cantidad pedir y el costo pertinente, permitiéndole mejorar los procesos de compra y el manejo y control del inventario.	spa
dc.description.abstractenglish	Patron and Company. SAS is a company that supplies needs in the sector of industrial activity, by distributing personal protection and safety elements. With the realization of a general diagnosis of the company, we found an overall view of the current situation, similarly was determined by the ABC classification by product lines (17 lines), the reference more involved in income each for further study of historical data of the year 2012, as demand, lead time and cost. To determine the behavior of the demand was conducted a goodness of fit test to check the distribution of it, later applied the periodic review model, which provide to the company an order policy, by establishing how often to review the inventory, order quantity and how much cost involved, allowing improve purchasing processes and management and inventory control.	spa
