The research article focused on the georeferencing of non-domestic discharge points generated by some industries in the municipality of Pereira, department of Risaralda. The main objective was to compare the location of these discharges with the provisions of the Territorial Planning Plan (POT) to determine if the established regulations are met, considering whether the points of interest are located in protected areas or areas of environmental interest. A thematic map was generated from the identification and registration of the geographical coordinates of nondomestic industrial discharges in the study area, having as a data source file provided by CARDER, as well as other data of interest from the point of each company. These points were precisely mapped in the territory. Then, the geographical information of interest was obtained from the Territorial Planning Plan, which contains the areas designated for industrial activities and environmental restrictions. Using the information obtained, an open-source GIS software was chosen, such as QGIS®, the thematic map was generated which contrasts the points of interest with the areas of environmental interest in order to draw conclusions regarding compliance. and coherence of the protection zones, most affected basins and critical sectors of the hydrographic sources studied.spa
